Vijayawada: The DSC-2002 merit candidates of male health assistants organised a protest demonstration here on Monday, demanding that the government implement High Court orders and appoint them as health assistants in Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, Anantapur, Kurnool, East and West Godavari districts.

Addressing the media, Unemployed Health Assistant Association member K Raghunatha Reddy informed that few District Collectors and Health Departments had taken initiative to implement the court orders. He blamed the government for neglecting their problem.

He alleged that the government showed placements to only 35 percent candidates instead of recruiting 70 percent candidates. He said that a few merit students approached the court for justice and the court issued a direction and ordered the government to conduct a thorough inquiry and fill the posts.

He said that orders were immediately implemented in Srikakulam and other districts as the District Collectors interfered in the issue and justice was done to the merit aspirants.
