​Vijayawada: Nagam Venkateswara Rao and Vani Madhavi, parents of Nagam Vishrut Mohan, organised a classical vocal Arangetram of Vishrut at Makineni Basavapunnaiah Vignana Kendram here on Sunday evening.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Kolakaluri Enoch said that it is a welcoming thing that the families residing in other countries are protecting the Indian Culture and traditional music. He also appreciated Vishrut for his keen interest in learning the divine art form.

Vishrut started learning classical music at the age of six from guru Siva Arani. Later, he switched to Subha and Kuchibhotla Murali Mohan for advanced techniques for vocal concerts.

Vishrut commenced the concert traditionally with Darbar varnam and continued the vocal concert with the other keerthana like Maha Ganapatim, Dakshinamurthe, Jagadanandakaraka, Ninnenera nammi nenu, Brochevarevarura and other krithis.

With rich voice, Vishrut Mohan received appreciations form the gathering. Noted singers Modumudi Sudhakar, Palaparthi Nageswara Rao, Popuri Gowrinath, Pappu Sadasiva Sastry and others blessed the young musician.

The concert was instrumentally supported by Ambatipudi Kamakshi (Violin), Karthikeya Adinarayana Sarma (Mrudangam), KV Kishore (Ghatam) and J Lakshmi Sankar (Morsing).
