Will work continuously to keep people happy: Chandrababu Naidu
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said the degree of happiness among the people of Andhra Pradesh has gone up, an indicative of the results that his welfare schemes have delivered
Kolluru (Guntur Dt): Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said the degree of happiness among the people of Andhra Pradesh has gone up, an indicative of the results that his welfare schemes have delivered. Taking part in Grama Darsini programme here, Naidu said that whenever he visited any village in the state, young and the aged were receiving him happily.
“I see smiles on their faces. This has not happened in one day. If they are happy that means the work that I had done till now are now bearing fruit,” he said. Naidu took part in Grama Darsini programme as part of the celebrations of his completion of 1,500 days in office.
“Chandranna Bheema which I had brought in is helping the poor. Just now, a widow came to me expressing gratitude for help extended to her under the scheme. Her husband, a truck driver, had died in accident and at a time when her life remained shattered without any hope, Chandranna Bheema helped her,” the CM said.
He said the programmes targeted at the poor are now helping them lead a decent life and this is the reason why happiness is visible on their faces. “I have been stressing on three watch words – development, health and happiness. If these three things are taken care of, there would no room for any complaint,” Naidu said.
He said that there was a need for better coordination between the government and the people. “I have been asking officials to visit districts for two days in a week and find out how works related to their departments are being implemented.
I want them to inspect the works and make suggestions so that better results could be obtained,” Naidu said, adding that at the same time, as president of the Telugu Desam, he has been asking party workers to visit villages and sit with village elders and find out whether all their needs are taken care of and if not find out where the government was lacking so that they too could be addressed.
Naidu said that if he had achieved success in administration and made people happy it was because he could act as a team leader. “From Chief Secretary to VRA, I have ensured that all of them worked as a team.
Similarly, in the party too, all ministers, MPs, MLAs and even sarpanches of villages worked as one team. I have managed to coordinate the activity of the two wings and helped them to deliver better service to the people, he said.
Naidu said that his focus remained on ensuring that people are happy. “Food alone would not be sufficient for a human being. He would feel happy only when his other needs too are taken care of,” he said, pointing out that to ensure this he had provided avenues of opportunity to the people to work which does not affect their dignity and self-respect.
