The Commissioner, as a part of the cleanliness drive taken up by the VMC, held a field-level survey at various parts in the city on Tuesday. The Commissioner vented his ire at the field workers for slackness in performing their duty of segregating dry and wet household waste and ordered the health department officer to issue a show cause notice on the sanitary inspector of that division.
The Commissioner expressed his displeasure on the untidy maintenance of the community toilets without proper water supply and damaged toilets at Chand Community Hall at 41st division. He ordered the officials to maintain concerned to supply water to the toilets and keep the premises clean.
On observing stagnated rain water creating incontinence to the residents near the function hall, the Commissioner enquired the officials and came to know that there were no side drains in that area.
He ordered the sanitary staff to clear the stagnated water through pipes and dig chambers and link them to the adjacent drain canals and clear the rain water. Later, the Commissioner inspected Poornandampet and Baptistpalem and expressed his dissatisfaction on the sanitary in-charge for not segregating the garbage from houses properly.
