Ongole: Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand ordered the officials to make arrangements to start construction of 200 Anganwadi centers at once in the district on July 25.
He convened a convergence meeting on MGNREGS with the concerned departments on Tuesday and reviewed the status of construction of Anganwadi buildings, BT, CC, Gravel roads, panchayat offices, gokulams, toilets and others.
The Collector ordered the officials to take up construction of 200 of the 549 sanctioned Anganwadi centers on July 25 and complete them in the next 3 months.
He ordered them to appoint an officer to track the construction of one Anganwadi center, a CDPO level officer for every 10 centers and make them responsible for the completion of the buildings.
He ordered the officials to speed up the construction of the roads and said that just 45 kilometers is completed in 185 kilometers of CC roads. He ordered the officials to complete 71 out of the 92 sanctioned panchayat buildings under construction as soon as possible.
He also informed them that only 2,000 of the 10,000 toilets that were sanctioned with the housing scheme were completed and ordered the officials to plan the mass starting of construction of remaining toilets on August 1.
Similarly, he ordered the officials to take special interest in completing construction of 24 Gokulams in the district.
He also reviewed the status of the women samakhya buildings, mulbary forms, waste to wealth plants etc along with the construction of schools, panchayat buildings, Anganwadi centers, godowns and other infrastructure in tribal areas.
The DWMA PD, Venkateswarlu, DRDA PD Murali, Housing PD Sainath, ICDS PD Sarojini, Panchayat Raj SE Raghubabu, CPO Venkateswarlu, fisheries and animal husbandry JDs Balaram, Ravindranath Tagore, SSA PD Venkateswara Rao, RWS SE Sanjeeva Reddy, DTWO Rajyalakshmi, DPO NSSV Prasad, ITDA EE Jyothi, sericulture AD Sivanarayana and other officials participated in the meeting with the Collector.
