Rajamahendravaram: YSRCP at Pushkar Ghat here on Tuesday paid tributes to the pilgrims died in stampede on the first day of Godavari Maha Pushkarams-2015 and to the deceased of a boat capsize in River Godavari at Pasuvulanka village on Saturday.
Participating in the programme, YSRCP city coordinator Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao demanded that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reveal the findings of Justice CY Somayajulu Commission constituted on the stampede immediately.
So far no action was taken on any official who were on duty at that time, he added.
He alleged that Naidu was responsible for the stampede on July 14, the first day of Pushkaram who stayed in Pushkar Ghat for two hours.
He was trying to hide the facts by not revealing the commission report, he added.
Branding Naidu as publicity monger, the YSRCP leader said that as many six students and one housewife lost their lives for the publicity of Naidu at Pasuvulanka three days ago.
He demanded that the government sanction an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the family members of the deceased.
YSRCP leaders M Sharmila Reddy, B Srihari, PKK Reddy, BS Rani, PH Rao, KR Kanth, SS Basha, V Sridhar, Dr Krishna Rao and many others were present.
