Amaravati: Union home minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh’s statement on TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that both of them were friends, drew the attention of TDP, YSRCP leaders and also became a hot topic on the social media.

Rajnath Singh, while speaking in the Lok Sabha during the debate on the no-confidence motion against the NDA government moved by TDP, said that he would continue friendship with Chandrababu Naidu.

Reacting to that Naidu maintained that it was not enough to say that both of them were friends, but Rajnath Singh had to explain to the people what did the Central government do for Andhra Pradesh in the last four years.

While interacting with the TDP Lok Sabha members through teleconference, Naidu said that the BJP leaders, including Rajnath Singh, were telling the cock and bull stories to the House.

He said that the party MPs should not leave the subject at any cost and they should mount pressure on the government till they do justice to the state.

It is not appearing that they were honestly speaking in the House, he added. TDP MPs should not accept their cooked up stories till they reveal actual facts on what did they had done so far for the state, he said.

The Chief Minister further said that there was a possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi repeating the same stories as was said by Rajnath Singh.

On the other hand, YSRCP Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy tweeted, “NCBN is exposed in and out today. Rajnath SinghJi saying NCBN indeed was a friend, is a friend and will be a permanent friend, shows NCBN and his Telugu Drama Party is acting at the behest of BJP bosses.”

He further added that the TDP MPs met many national leaders to get support for no confidence motion, but what happened in Parliament proved that no one believes TDP and its leader.

Had all MPs, MLAs and Naidu as CM resigned on April 6, BJP would have yielded and given Special Category Status to AP, he added.
