Atmakur: In total, 1.8 lakh cusecs of flood water reached the confluence of seven rivers at Sangameshwaram in Kurnool district on Saturday with heavy discharge of water from Almatti, Narayanapur and Jurala projects in the upper reaches of the river. Temple priest Telakapalli Raghunadha Sharma is observing the flood situation and making arrangements to conduct Kalyana Mahotsavam to deities – Goddess Lalita and Lord Sangameshwara on Sunday. Because of the flood threat, the arrangements are on to conduct the Kalyanam in the wee hours of Sunday.
