Kakinada: As the BJP still dodging on the issue of Special Category Status to AP, the TDP will campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP in 2019 polls, warned Kakinada MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao.

Addressing the media at district TDP office on Monday, the MLA said that the TDP would use SMS, WhatsApp and other means of communication for this purpose to provide information to voters in northern states. The TDP would explain to them the injustice meted out to 5 crore people of AP by denying the SCS with incorrect and false statements.

Turning his attention to the bandh call given by YSRCP on Tuesday, the MLA said that this was a political gimmick by Jagan. The people were well aware of the prevailing situation in the state and the all out efforts being made by TDP to get the SCS.

Commenting on the advice of Jagan to TDP suggesting resignation of all TDP Lok Sabha members and go for indefinite fast, Vanamadi said that the TDP MPs had been agitating in Parliament and outside during the last five months. They even staged dharna at PM’s camp office for SCS, the MLA reminded.

Instead of advising the TDP, Jagan should focus on New Delhi to press for SCS to AP. The TDP Kakinada city unit president, Nunna Dorababu, leaders Sunkara Tirumala Kumar and others participated.
