Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu felicitated officials belonging to different government departments for performing meritoriously at a function at his residence at Undavalli on Wednesday. He congratulated officials for winning awards at the national level.

More than 300 officials received appreciation from the Chief Minister. On this occasion, he said that the emerging and empowering ‘Sunrise State of AP’ made a benchmark in governance in various fields and secured various awards including standing first in the country in ease of doing business, pride of India, Skoch Order-of-Merit-2018, Swachh Sarvekshan 2018, Digital Leader of the year, Enertia, best emerging destination, Digital Trailblazer, national e- governance and others. The awards were categorised in Platinum and Gold.

Chandrababu Naidu said that day and night hard work of the employees made AP as one of the best developing State in the country. Hailing the contribution of employees in achieving the success, he said, “I appreciate everyone behind the success from the bottom of my heart.”

The performance of AP government employees was being recogised and appreciated by many great persons around the world, he added. Recognising our hard work and ability we have been invited for giving a lecture in United Nations Organisation, he said.

He pointed out that AP is number 1 in GSDP. It is the first State to complete hundred per cent Open Defecation Free status in the country. Naidu also pointed out that he had successfully conducted CII Economic summit for three years.

He requested every officer to continue to work with inspiration for making Andhra Pradesh as the best State in the world. Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar received an award for successful implementation of MGNREGA.

Senior IAS officers including Ajay Jain for energy efficiency, Poonam Malakondaiah for health care and other officials received seven national awards.
