Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the state government is committed to uplift and provide a respectable position for women in the society. He announced a monthly remuneration of Rs 3,000 to resource persons and Village Organisation Assistants (VOAs).
In addition, the resource persons and VOAs will get Rs 2,000 per month from their respective groups. MEPMA (Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas) and Dwacra (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) groups will distribute the money in addition to two pairs of dress to the resource persons.
Interacting with resource persons at the grievances hall at Undavalli on Friday, the Chief Minister said the state government was making efforts to bring change in society and festivals should not be limited to the houses of rich people and everyone in the society including poor should celebrate them.
The Chief Minister said the living standards and purchasing power would increase with increase in revenue. He advised the women resource persons to see that their children were not misusing smart phones. The women should monitor the youth by restricting them from misusing smart phone as it would do more harm to society.
Naidu said that the state government has been implementing several welfare programmes for women. “The state will achieve progress when the welfare and developmental programmes are implemented simultaneously and the fruits of the welfare programmes reach to the last person in the society,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that he encouraged the Dwcra groups by extending a financial assistance of Rs 52,000 crore and provided a loan of Rs 14,000 crore this year. Dwcra groups played key role in economic development of the state, he added.
