Rajamahendravaram: The officials led by Rampachodavaram forest range officer A Sunil Kumar raided the house of Pallala Deva Reddy of Kechalawada, a remote village in Maredumilli mandal on Friday and seized two country-made guns and four skulls of barking deer, three head lamps used to mobilise wild animal by directly focussing into eyes of prey animal, which were kept on the ceiling of his house.
A press note released by divisional forest officer of Kakinada Nandani Salaria said, the accused was a poacher and was in the habit of hunting wild animals such as Barking Deer Chousingha, Spotted Deer and Indian Hares. The meat of poached animal was usually shared among the participants. The accused used to hunt wild animals in full moon days and during summer.
