Tirupati: Dr K Harshavardhan Appaji of the TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College and Hospital, received ‘Best Doctor Award’ from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati on Saturday, as part of the World Doctors Day celebrations.

A cultural organisation ‘Suman Arts’ has announced the awards to seven doctors, who have been serving the people in medical filed. Among the seven doctors, Dr K Harshavardhan is one among them.

He was awarded for conducting free medical camps for poor and actively taking part in flood relief activities in Chennai.

Recently, he had attended an international Ayurvedic seminar at Tashkent, organised coinciding with the International Yoga Day.

As an NSS Officer of the SV Ayurvedic College, Harshavardhan also organised several blood donation camps.

On receiving award, college students and staff congratulated him.
