Srikakulam: Visakhapatnam range DIG Ch Srikanth on Monday directed the officials not to yield to political, social and financial pressures while discharging their duties.

He inspected the records at II town police station in Srikakulam city along with Superintendent of Police Dr C M Trivikrama Varma. On the occasion, the DIG checked all records regarding various cases.

The DIG asked the CIs to change their attitude towards public who visit the police stations seeking justice. If police failed to provide justice, public will lose confidence on the police system, the DIG said.

If corruption allegations received against any CI or SI, SP will inquire and initiate action on it, DIG explained. In the wake of serious allegations on II town station, DIG visit assumed importance. On the occasion, the DIG lauded services of community police officers (CPOs) who assist police in their regular duties.
