A home guard was burnt alive by his lover in Prakasam district. The incident took place at Konakanamitla village in Prakasam district on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Sheik Shabbir worked as the home guard in Podili police station. He has been living with married woman Imam Bhi for the last two years after deserting his two wives and children.
The couple had started a poultry farm two months back. However, owing to the losses in the business, Shabbir thrashed Imam Bhi. As a revenge, she tied Shabbir to a wooden coat with steel chains during a sexual act in the poultry farm. She then poured petrol on Shabbir and burnt him alive in the poultry farm.
Later, Imam surrendered to the police and admitted killing Shabbeer. A case was registered under section 302 of IPC.
