Chandrababu Naidu pours out woes of state, blames Centre for apathy
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu spent much of his time during his Grama Darsini at Gudivada village under S Rayavaram mandal in the district on Tuesday to drive home the message of his struggle to develop the state in the face of noncooperation from Centre and noholdsbarred attacks by opposition parties
Gudivada (Visakhapatnam): Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu spent much of his time during his Grama Darsini at Gudivada village under S Rayavaram mandal in the district on Tuesday to drive home the message of his struggle to develop the state in the face of non-cooperation from Centre and no-holds-barred attacks by opposition parties.
Naidu interacted with the people and spent almost eight hours participating in various programmes. At the end of the visit, he addressed a public meeting where he targeted BJP, YSRCP and new entrant Jana Sena for creating hurdles in the way of development of the state in a collusive manner.
Explaining the financial troubles, the Chief Minister said that the state had been facing Rs 1.22 lakh crore deficit and the Centre was not extending help to the state. If the BJP government supported, Andhra Pradesh would be developed as one of the top five developed states in the country, he said.
Criticising the YSRCP party’s stand on Kapu reservations issue, the Chief Minister said that even though the issue was in the Centre’s hands, the TDP was fighting to provide reservations to the community as it was committed to the welfare of the backward sections and added that Rs 1,000 crore had already been allocated to Kapu welfare. He also said that the party was seriously examining to provide special reservation to fishermen communities too.
Accusing YSRCP and Jana Sena of being hand-in-glove with the BJP, he said the saffron party was playing with the lives of Andhra Pradesh people and instigating Jaganmohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan against the TDP.
Naidu said Union home minister Rajnath Singh announced in Parliament that the BJP government was committed to set up railway zone for Vizag but the same BJP government in an affidavit filed in Supreme Court stated that railway zone at Vizag was not viable.
Alleging that the BJP government at the Centre was cheating five crore people of AP on several issues, Naidu said that the state was not asking any favour but only seeking justice. During his 45-minute address, Naidu explained the difficulties faced by the state government and targeted BJP, YSRCP and Jana Sena.
