Cab driver found dead in locked car in Kurnool

Kurnool: II Town cops found a dead body in a locked car parked on the premises of the Government General Hospital here on Thursday. According to Circle Inspector B A Manjunath, a missing complaint was registered two days ago about a cab driver.

“During the investigation, we have received an information that foul smell was emanating from a locked car on the premises of the district headquarters hospital,” the CI said, adding cops found a dead body on opening the doors of the car.

The cops identified the name of the deceased as Repalle Madhu, who was missing for the last two days. The kin of the deceased also confirmed the identity of the deceased. The body was handed over to the relatives after conducting a post-mortem.

The CI stated Madhu might have died due to excess consumption of liquor or with depression of debts. He ruled out the possibility of murder as no external injuries were found on the body. The deceased was a cab driver and a resident of Dharmapeta in Kurnool city. The police registered a case and took up investigation.
