​Vijayawada: The commerce department of PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science organised an awareness session on Tally software for the students of commerce on the college premises on Monday. The chief guest of the programme was Tally Education private limited CEO Maneesh Chowdary.
Addressing the gathering, he explained the new advanced features included in the Tally accounting software in accordance with Goods and Service Tax (GST). He said that there were good job opportunities for people who have Tally certification course.
Vice-principal P Babu Rao said that an MoU was signed with the Tally organisation to give training to the students on Tally certificate courses. He said that the college was offering various national and international certificate courses to the students to create job opportunities after completing their education.
The college dean, Rajesh Jampala said that for commerce students, there were a wide range of job opportunities based on their skills. He said that it was a pride moment to sign MoU with one of the best accounting software companies Tally, he added.
A free licence software was given to the college on the occasion. Rally regional head YS Raghunath, Vijayawada representative Mahadev, the college commerce department assistant HoD K Narayana Rao, Training and placement head K Sridhar and others were present.
