Foot-over-bridge at Pithapuram railway station closed for repairs

​Pithapuram: The foot-over-bridge at the railway station will remain closed for 15 days for undertaking repairs. The railway authorities urged the people to cooperate with them to enable them to carry out the repairs. The dilapidated bridge developed cracks and experiencing minor tremors as trains enter and leave the railway station.

Therefore, the railway engineers have decided to close it for repairs. According to the station superintendent, for about a fortnight from Tuesday, the commuters have to use the foot-path at the end of the platforms to change platforms.
