Vijayawada: The Krishna District Amateur Aquatic Association (Swimming) organised the 4th Andhra Pradesh State Senior Inter District Aquatic Championship 2018 at Vizzy Swimming Pool, Gandhinagar here on Sunday.
The chief guest of the competition was SAAP chairman P Ankamma Chowdary and VMC SFO A Sekhar.
Various categories like 1500 meters free style for women and men, 200 meters breast stroke both for men and women, 100 meters butterfly for men and women, 100 meters free style men and women, 400 meters individual medely for men and women, 400 meters free style for men and women, 100 meters backstroke for men and women, 200 meters freestyle for men and women, 50 meters and 100 meters breast stroke for both men and women, 50 meters butterfly for both men and women, 800 meters free style for men and women, 200 meters individual melody for men and women were held.
The winners were given prizes. The event was presided over by APAAA president Govinda Raju, secretary I Ramesh, acting president KDAAA, Obul Reddy.
P Ankamma Chowdary felicitated M Theerdu Samadev and M Lohith for winning gold medals in recently concluded 35th Sub Juniors 45th Juniors Nationals Aquatics Championships -2018, held in Pune.
