Guntur: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar said that government will prepare plans for better implementation of development and welfare schemes. Addressing Grama Darsini meeting held at Anantavarappadu village in Vatticherakur mandal on Saturday, he interacted with beneficiaries of various schemes and expressed satisfaction over the implementation of them. Dinesh Kumar said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was reviewing implementation of Grama Darsini once in a 15 days through videoconference and added satisfaction levels among people had increased over the implementation of schemes.

He directed Collector Kona Sasidhar to take steps to construct a compound wall to ZP High School, desilt the tank in the village and lay roads in SC/ST and BC Colonies in the villages. The villagers should become partners in MNREGS works to be taken up in the villages, he said. Earlier, the Chief Secretary visited SC Colony and enquired about the problems of people. He also participated in the Samuhika Srimantham programme.

Collector Kona Sasidhar said the Grama Darsini programme is aimed to redress local problems on the spot and said officials would involve in the programme to resolve their grievances. MLA Ravela Kishore Babu urged the people to become partners in the development and welfare schemes. Former minister and TDP leader Galla Aruna Kumari said the state government was implementing welfare schemes for all sections of people and urged the eligible to avail them for their upliftment. Later, Dinesh Kumar gave Rs 77.9 lakh bank linkage cheque to 84 self-help group members. Secretary planning Sanjay, Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao, joint collector MD Imtiaz and officials of various government departments were present.
