Tirupati: The Executive Director of the Heritage Foods, Nara Brahmani inaugurated NTR Trust Skill Development Centre (SDC) at Sri City in the presence of founder MD Ravindra Sannareddy on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Brahmani said that it was the first residential SDC of NTR Trust and she thanked the management of Sri City for the same.
Saying that visiting Sri City was a wonderful experience, she stated that it has done tremendous work towards women employability and bridging gender gap.
MD Ravindra Sannareddy has appreciated the NTR Trust for opening SDC in Sri City and assured all support. The Centre would be immensely useful to the unemployed youth in developing skills and finding better job opportunities, he said.
The SDC, which is the third such centre run by NTR Trust, would offer free residential courses in warehouse packing and assembling parts of smart phone. The other two training Centres are in Hyderabad and Vinukonda.
The Sri City SDC is established with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds of Heritage Foods Ltd. Shri Technologies are the technology partners.
Boys and girls, who studied up to eighth class are eligible to apply for these courses. On this occasion, Brahmani went around the industrial park and visited the Rising Star (Foxconn) industry, in which more than 15,000 women are employed. During the visit, she interacted with the women employees on the shop floor.
Established in 1997, NTR Memorial Trust has been at the forefront of bringing socio-economic changes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It endeavours to create opportunities for the underprivileged to achieve their full potential, safeguarding health and safety and reducing poverty and instances of injustice.
The Trust’s management team is headed by Nara Bhuvaneswari and assisted by several others including Lokesh Nara and Brahmani.
Under the youth empowerment, it has been offering training programmes for youth empowerment & livelihoods since 2010 and till date helped more than 12,000 unemployed youth to become entrepreneurs.
