Cops engaged in relief operations in Kakinada

​Kakinada: In the wake of heavy rains and inundation, the East Godavari police deputed its men for the conduct of relief operations in five mandals. The cops focused on Yetapaka, Chintur, Rampachodavaram and Devipatnam mandals in the agency and in Amalapuram rural in Konaseema area of the district.

The police assisted the local administration in alerting the people while crossing culverts which were overflowing with flood waters. In Yetapaka and V R Puram areas in agency mandals, the police took initiative to cut the trees which fell due to flooding of waters. In Amalapuram rural, the police helped the locals in reaching safer places from inundated areas.
