​Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar inspected the relief camps at Alcot Gardens and Kotilingalapeta where accommodation was given to about 250 people shifted from Bridgelanka and Kedarilanka due to heavy rains. The evacuees will be stayed in the relief camps three more days until the flood water recedes.

Later, he directed the corporation staff to provide bread and milk to the pregnant women and children without delay and also directed the staff to provide quality food to the evacuees. Any lapses in this regard will be viewed seriously, he warned.

Necessary medical aid also be provided if necessary, he said and asked the duty staff to take care of their health. Later, he interacted with the children in the relief camps and enquired them about quality of the food.

After visiting the relief camps, the commissioner visited Pushkar Ghat and asked the officials about the flood position. The commissioner directed additional commissioner NVVS Rao, health officer Dr MVR Murthi and other officials to take care of the things because of the rain forecast for two more days.
