A couple died after consuming cheap in Bapatla government hospital on SundayAccording to Bapatla DSP D Gangadharam, Gandham Anjaiah, 45, and his wife Maremma, 36, residents of Yazali in Karlapalem mandal of Guntur district went to Nizampatnam on Saturday and bought two cheap liquor bottles in King of Wines liquor shop
Guntur: A couple died after consuming cheap in Bapatla government hospital on Sunday. According to Bapatla DSP D Gangadharam, Gandham Anjaiah, 45, and his wife Maremma, 36, residents of Yazali in Karlapalem mandal of Guntur district went to Nizampatnam on Saturday and bought two cheap liquor bottles in King of Wines liquor shop.
They consumed it in their house the same night. Later, they complained of stomach pain and were shifted to the Bapatla Government General Hospital for treatment by 108. Both of thm succumbed one after other on Sunday morning. Police registered the case under the 174 IPC . Excise officials went to Nizampatnam and stopped sales of cheap in the King of Wines. They collected liquor samples and sent to the chemical analysis.
