Guntur: The GMC officials took out Domalapai Dandayatra programme to create awareness on need to check spread of viral diseases.
The GMC biologist Obulu flagged off the rally at Borra Nageswara Rao Municipal Corporation High School in here on Sunday.
Speaking on this occasion, he stressed on need to keep surroundings clean. He said Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya would spread by mosquitoes.
If water stagnanted, it would lead to mosquitoes breeding. He urged the people to observe every Saturday as Dry Day and keep surroundings clean.
He said that GMC had taken up anti-larva operations to check spread of malaria.
Sanitary inspectors Prabakar Reddy and Srinivas were among those present.
