Buddhist monk visits CCVA in Vijayawada
Mahathera Khemachara Bhikkhu, Secretary, International Buddhist Confederation IBC, vicepresident of World Alliance of Buddhists, Dhamma Deepa Foundation, Tripura and chairman of Siddhartha Buddha Vihara Trust visited the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati CCVA here on Monday
​Vijayawada: Mahathera Khemachara Bhikkhu, Secretary, International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), vice-president of World Alliance of Buddhists, Dhamma Deepa Foundation, Tripura and chairman of Siddhartha Buddha Vihara Trust visited the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) here on Monday.
Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, CEO of the cultural centre said that the senior Buddhist monk, as part of his Dhamma tour during the rainy retreat (Vassavasa) visited a special Buddhist exhibition at the CCVA. Dr Reddy presented a book on Buddhist Heritage of Andhra Pradesh written by him.
M Chimpiraiah of Malaxmi Group, Upasaka Subhakar Medasani, secretary, Amaravati Buddha Vihara, Dr Ravi Chandra Reddy Bhimavarapu, MD, Vipassi Tours and Travels participated in the programme. Subhakar Medasani presented a memento of Buddha portrait to the Buddhist Monk and sought his blessings.
