Garment merchants donate 2 L for Kerala victims

Vijayawada: The Vijayawada Garment Merchants Welfare Association has contributed a donation of Rs 2 lakh for the victims of Kerala flood and the cheque was sent to Kerala Chief Minister Relief Fund, according to the association president I Lakshminarayana and secretary KCVK Kishore on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, they said that irrespective of the region, when the people were suffering due to natural calamity everyone should unite to help them. He said the people of Kerala state have suffered a huge loss due to severe floods which paralysed the activities of the state.
In the hour of need, all people from across the country should extend their help, he said and added all associations, NGOs and other voluntarily bodies should extend their support with the government.
