Srikakulam: Irrothu Sundaramma, a surrendered Maoist, on Monday received Rs 4 lakh cash incentive from the government. Superintendent of Police Dr C M Trivikrama Varma handed over the cheque to her at his camp office, Srikakulam. Sundaramma was worked as committee member at Andhra-Odisha border area.

When she surrendered before police in March, the SP provided Rs 5,000 as immediate relief and now, presented Rs 4 lakh as part of rehabilitation scheme for surrendered Maoists.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP assured that they will make efforts to provide all facilities from the government to Sundaramma and appealed to other Maoists to surrender before the government and lead peaceful life. Sundaramma is a native of Vajrapukotturu mandal.
