Nellore: Rural wing of the YSRCP organised protest at the RTC Bus Stand here on Thursday, over rise in theft and chain-snatching incidents. Party leader M Gowri has alleged that there was no security for women in the TD rule.

She stated women are becoming victims of chain snatchings and thefts in villages. She expressed anguish over women fearing to go to temples and schools for picking up their children.

The YSRCP leader blamed the cops for not controlling crime. She asked the police officials to take severe action against the chain snatchers and habitual offenders. Corporator Lakshmi Sunanda, city’s women wing president Thota Sobha Rani and others were present.
