Amaravati: In a heated debate on the Mukyamantri Yuvanestam (Unemployment allowance to educated unemployed youth) in the Council, the Ministers lambasted the BJP leaders for their criticism on it, on Tuesday.
The Minister for Labour Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said that the BJP MLC PVN Madhav was speaking shamelessly on the newly introducing programme aimed to benefit the unemployed youth in the state. The subject was taken in the Council for short duration discussion. After revealing the policy of the Mukyamantri Yuvanestam in the House by Minister for Unemployment Benefits Kollu Ravindra, the BJP leader criticised that it was an election stunt but not for the welfare of youth.
Madhav added that the state government has been introducing this scheme before elections.
Lambasting on the BJP for not implementing their poll promises, he said that the BJP leaders did not have any right to speak about the TDP. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured many promises including construction of Amaravati, Polavaram, central government institutions and others, but not even a single promise fulfilled till date.
Reacting on it, Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj said that they have carefully considered all the options available to roll out the scheme to benefit maximum number of youth. For this, they had studied all the existing such schemes across the country and now they have come up with best suitable policy.
He said the TDP government has been fulfilling all the promises made under the Party Manifesto – 2014.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that this scheme will be one of the best schemes in the country and government has been ensuring transparency.
The Mukyamantri Yuvanestam to be rolled out on October 2, 2018, with an estimated beneficiaries of more than 10 lakh youth in the state.
