Visakhapatnam: Opposition Leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy completed 2.959.9-km padayatra on Sunday. Jagan started his Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Sunday at Duvvupalem after meeting several sportspersons including star boxing player Baggu Mounika.
Mounika alleged that the State government had failed all the sportspersons equally. She urged Jagan to ensure justice to her. After completing his padayatra in Pendurty Assembly constituency, Jagan entered Bheemili constituency at Dabbanda crossroad. A large number of women gave a traditional welcome to him.
Steel Plant Executive Association representatives met Jagan and explained how Visakhapatnam Steel Plant was suffering due to lack of captive iron ore mines.
They urged Jagan to intervene on the issue for allotment of iron ore mines to Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. After the lunch session, a large number of Kapu community leaders met Jagan. President of Visakhapatnam Kapu Sangham Bandreddi Ramajogi joined the YSR Congress party.
The Kapu leaders expressed their happiness over the announcement of Rs 10,000 crore funds every year for Kapu Corporation. Jagan continued his padayatra under heavy showers. The people also followed him under the rain.
