Entries invited for India Press Photo Award 2018

​Vijayawada: Member of Parliament Kesineni Srinivas launched website pertaining to State Photojournalists Association of Andhra Pradesh (SPAAP) at Kesineni Bhavan here on Monday. Entries are invited from photo journalists to participate in the prestigious ‘India Press Photo Award 2018’.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP appreciated the members of the association for taking the initiative for the prestigious award. He said that photojournalists across the country were eagerly waiting for the commencement of the entries of the prestigious awards. Two senior photojournalists were being honored on the occasion which was a good gesture, said the MP.

The members of the association said that every year on November 1st World Photojournalist Day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of famous photojournalist Oskar Bernal. The awards will be presented in association with Andhra Pradesh Creativity and Culture Commission.

This year awards will be given in various categories like photojournalism, spot news, sports and general news besides holding photo travel competition. A total of Rs 2.5 lakh cash prizes will be presented on the occasion and all the details pertaining to the awards will be uploaded on the website, said that members.
