Kakinada: Three workers of Manikantha Fire Works, a licensed unit at Kotipalli Gangavaram in East Godavari, about 35 km from here, were critically injured in an explosion that occurred in the unit on Friday. All the three hail from Gorripudi village in Karapa mandal in the district.

The injured were identified as Katakam Tataji, Palivela Raju and Palleti Sattibabu. According to sources, the incident occurred when all the three were engaged in crackers making unit, along with two others.
