Kadapa: PCC president N Raghuveera Reddy has said that right now his party has no idea for having electoral alliance with TDP or any other party in AP. Speaking to media persons at Proddaturu on Thursday, the PCC chief evaded to give direct answer when media persons asked him over electoral alliance with TDP.

He said any policy matters regarding alliance will be finalised by party high command after discussing the issue at All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting. He said presently Congress party is planning to contest 25 Parliament, 175 Assembly seats on its own in AP.

Exuding confidence over Rahul Gandhi becoming Prime Minister of India, he said that no one can prevent Congress party coming to power at Centre in 2019 general elections as the people of the country are vexed with BJP-led NDA government as it has been implementing anti- people policies during its four-and-half- year rule.

Describing lathi-charge and other unwanted steps being adopted by the central government to prevent the entry of farmers into national capital on 2nd October as highly unfortunate, the PCC president pointed out such incident reminds us of British Rule after 72 years of Independent India.

He asserted that there was no question of compromise in providing Special Category Status (SCS) to AP. He said Rahul Gandhi is committed on the issue and will give his first signature to SCS after assuming charge as Prime Minister.
