Nellore: City Mayor Sheik Abdul Aziz informed that they were planning to construct a Shaadi Manzil in Nellore rural limits with Rs 1.5 crore. Abdul Aziz has inspected the ongoing works of Shaadi Manzil at Kotamitta in the city here on Thursday. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, the Mayor said that they have been constructing Shaadi Manzil at Kotamitta with international standards.

Aziz stated the Municipal Corporation of Nellore will provide Shaadi Manzil to poor Muslims for marriages on rent for Rs 5,000 per day. “We have been constructing the Manzil keeping in view of the next 50 years. We had allocated Rs 4 crore for the first phase and Rs 5 crore for the second phase to provide all amenities,” the Mayor said.

Civic body had taken up the construction of Shaadi Manzil project as a prestigious one, he added. He explained that the new Shaadi Manzil will be having four floors with parking facility, dining hall, function hall and separate rooms for bride and groom. He informed that they are planning to construct a new Shaadi Manzil in the place where dilapidated building exists at third mile in Nellore Rural mandal limits. He also explained that are considering to identify a land for another Shaadi Manzil at Vedayapalem.

The Mayor said that the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is committed for welfare of the Muslim community in the state and has been allocating adequate funds for the development of the community. Corporator P Sathyanageswar Rao, Minority leaders were also present.
