Vijayawada: A spectacular show ‘Uuru bhangam’ was presented by Young Theatre Organization and Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala as a part of ‘Padyanataka festival’ organised by Andhra Pradesh Nataka Academy and Department of Culture.

The students of Sri Durgamalleswara Sidhartha Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada acted professionally and acclaimed the laurels from the connoisseurs.

G Bhavana, K Mohitha, G Gowri, BL Supriya, Y Ramya, V Dharani, E Ramya Gopika, B Charishma, Y Krishna Priya, Sk Reshma Chandini, K Krishna Sri, B Ooha, G Lakshmi Prasanna, S Sree Lakshmai Prasanna, M Pujitha, M Sai Gowthami, M Kiranmai, T Jahnavi, Sk Taslima, Ruchitha Jani, N Bhavani and A Manasa Madhuri justified to their characters.

This was originally written by Bhasa Mahakavi and play’s adoption by Chilakamarthi Lakshmi Narasimham. R Vasu’s stage design and direction was excellent.

The rendering of Sagar was appreciated by the verse drama lovers.

Technical support rendered by Venkat, Sai, Kittu, Girish (Set designed), Paramesh and Sitaram (Music), Surabhi Santosh (Lighting).

The entire auditorium was thrilled to witness the extraordinary performance of the students and technical crew.

In a brief meeting, academy chairman Gummadi Gopalakrishna highlighted the programmes that were being planned to stage during Navaratri festival.

Academy secretary Ramarao, Telugu Artistes Federation president HVRS Prasad, noted stage directors MS Chowdary and R Vasudeva Rao also spoke.
