Three Friends Held In Attempt To Rape Case In Andhra Pradesh

Police arrested three friends for allegedly trying to rape a college going girl in Krishna district.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Manikanta developed friendship through Facebook with a girl. He invited the victim to a lodge in Ibrahimpatnam on the pretext of an important meeting with her. After her arrival to the room, Manikanta and his two friends Dheeraj and Basha attempted to rape her. They also recorded a video from their cell phones.

The accused blackmailed the girl and released a few video clippings to the social media. Alerted family members approached the police and demanded for immediate action. Police are ascertaining the facts and the investigation is in progress.
