Visakhapatnam: Quality Circle team from RINL-Vizag Steel ‘Sidhi’ from Electrical Repair Shop bagged ‘Country’s Best-Star Award’ at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC-2018) held at Singapore in October 22-25. The QC team ‘Uddeep’ from Wire Rod Mill, and ‘Abdulkalam’ from Sinter Plant bagged ‘Gold Awards’ and 5-'S' team from Wire Rod Mill departments bagged ‘Silver Medal’ for their case studies at ICQCC 2018.

The QC team ‘Sidhi’ of Electrical Repair Shop consisting of Y Santi Swarup, Sailatha Behara, K Srinivasa Reddy, PVVS Ram Prasad and Gandhi Naik presented their LQC case study on ‘Modification in Base Mix Reclamation Motor (BMR)-9 to avoid production delay.’
The QC team ‘Uddeep’ of WRM dept consisting of D Madhava Rao, B Appala Raju, P Raju and P Narasinga Rao presented their LQC case study on ‘Modified Tungsten Carbide roll ring dismounting device.’
The QC team ‘Abdulkalam’ of Sinter Plant dept consisting of Srinivasa Rao, SVS Appa Rao, Mohmed Arif Hussain, B Parraju and P Narasimha Raju presented their LQC case study on ‘Minimisation of breakdown of dust extraction systems.’
The 5-'S' team from Wire Rod Mill consisting of NV Santhan, D Kesava Rao, P Srinivasa Raju, PN Narasimha Murthy and P Venkateswarlu presented their case study on ‘Modification in Base Mix Reclamation Motor (BMR)-9 to avoid production delay.’ Raju Isaac, GM (HR) and PR Roy, Manager(MS) also attended the International Convention.
