Rajamahendravaram: Former MP G V Harsha Kumar on Friday came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for politicising the attack on YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Speaking to reporters at Press Club here, he said though everyone in the society condemning the attack on Jagan, the Chief Minister has been politicising the issue to get mileage.

He said it is the duty of state government to provide protection to everyone in the state. However, Naidu and his cabinet ministers were mum on the attacks on SCs in the state.

Even as ministers and his partymen involved in the attacks on SCs, Naidu failed to act on the culprits, he pointed out. Stating that the law and order problem in the state becoming worse, he said that everyone was feeling insecure because of rampant corruption in the state.

He also slammed Naidu for commenting on Governor E S L Narasimhan, who enquired the DGP about the health condition of YSRCP president. The police are becoming henchmen of the Chief Minister and they even forgotten to investigate the cases, he added.

The people are observing the Chief Minister’s style of functioning in the last four-and-half years and will teach a fitting lesson to the TDP in the forthcoming elections, he averred.
