Kadapa: Dr Nise Kiran Kumar, a social activist of the city on Monday bagged the Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu Memorial Award.
He is among those selected from the two Telugu States for the honour. Rao received the award at a function held in Anam Rotary Hall in Rajamahendravaram, from former MLA R Suryaprakash Rao and Rotary Club Executive Director Pattupagala Venkat Rao.
In his acceptance speech, Dr Kumar stated that social service would bring recognition even late. “The award has increased my responsibility to take up social work through the rest of my life,” he stated.
