Visakhapatnam: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the attack on Opposition Leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is focusing on mobile call data, family members, especially friends of the accused J Srinivas, to find out whether there were any big fish behind the episode.
Based on the call data, police found Srinivas spoke to four persons including three women of Prakasam, Chittoor and Guntur districts frequently. They brought two women and a man to Visakhapatnam and are enquiring about their links with Srinivas.
According to information, the accused called up one of the three women on October 25 morning and informed her that he is going to kill YS Jagan and also asked her to watch the TV channels after an hour. The SIT officials also found that the accused spoke to a woman belonging to Chittoor frequently for long durations.
One of the women is a resident of Devanganagar in Kanigiri mandal of Prakasam district. Meanwhile, a special police team visited Thanelanka village of Mummidivaram mandal, native place of accused, and enquired about Srinivas lifestyle in the village. His parents were brought to Visakhapatnam but there is no confirmation that they were allowed to meet him.
