AISECT teams up with APSSDC in skill development training

Hyderabad: Leading Social Enterprise working in the area of skill development AISECT has partnered with AP State Skill Development Corporation to provide training in skill development to 270 candidates belonging to Backward Classes.

The training would be provided for three job categories in seven locations in Andhra Pradesh which include Guntur, Penukonda, Gutti, Kadapa, Penumur, Chittoor and Nandyala. The training will be given without collecting any fee. In order to offer quality training, there would be a maximum of 30 candidates in each batch.

The candidates taking part in the programme would also receive a training kit, which would include a bag, training module, pen and notepad. Depending on the job role, candidates would have to undergo 100 to 400 hours of training over a period of one to three months.

After the completion of the programme, the candidates would be accessed through the Sector Skill Councils of India. AISECT’s Director Siddharth Chaturvedi said, “Skills and knowledge are the basic essence of a flourishing economy. Unfortunately, the literacy rate in India is just 74.04 per cent.

It is important for the Government and the training providers to reach out to people in the remote corners of the country to all sections of society. Through this partnership with APSSDC, we are aiming to not just to provide skills training to a specific target group in Andhra Pradesh, but also open up a number of employment options for them.”

The minimum educational qualifications required for a student to be eligible for the programme include 10th Class for CRM Domestic Voice job role and Graduation in Commerce or Allied Subjects or a Diploma in Commercial Practice for Accounts Executive (Payroll) and Accounts Executive (Recording, Reporting) job roles.
