Ongole: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has declared full-fledged war against the BJP, utilised the Gram Darsini programme to explain the reasons behind his decision to form an alternative front to challenge the BJP.

Naidu said while the Congress had done injustice in the past by bifurcating the state in unscientific manner, the BJP which had promised to help the people of the truncated state have not only gone back on their assurance but were also behaving in a vindictive manner.

Naidu said the TDP was born to fight suppression. When Congress indulged in suppression, NTR fought against it and now that the BJP was behaving in a similar manner, he has decided to unite all anti-BJP forces and teach the saffron party a lesson. “I know where to hit and how to hit back,” he said.

Apart from taking up massive campaign to convince people about his political moves at national level, Naidu also seems to be making some quick moves to ensure that his decision to form the anti-BJP front does not impact the prospects of the party in the state.

He wants to ensure that the BC youth stay with the party. Keeping this in view, the Government has decided to hike the subsidy amount for entrepreneurs and self-employed youth in the state from present 70 per cent to 90 per cent of the total unit cost.

Orders to the effect have been issued. It may be mentioned here that in 2014, the government had introduced a loan assistance to backward class jobless youth and announced subsidy of 70 per cent, loan component of 20 per cent and beneficiary share of 10 per cent. Now it has decided to do bear the burden of loan component as well.

Sources said that some more such moves were in the pipeline. Naidu, who held informal meetings with senior party leaders over the latest developments on Saturday, directed the rank and file to see that they take up massive awareness campaign to ensure that the anti BJP feeling the TDP had successfully created ever since it walked out of NDA was kept intact.
