Amaravati: TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao’s niece Ramya Rao met TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu at his at Undavalli here on Thursday seeking ticket to contest in Telangana Assembly elections.
Party sources said she told Naidu that she had decided to join TDP since she was vexed with the Congress and want to contest from Nizamabad district. The party chief discussed the issue with the Telangana TDP leaders including L Ramana and others who met him during the day.
He reportedly observed that if the TDP welcomed her into the party, it may be seen as an unfriendly gesture by the Congress in Telangana. The Telangana TDP leaders also said to have concurred with the party supremo’s opinion.
