Goddess Durga decorated with bangles

Vijayawada: Goddess Kanakadurga atop Indrakeeladri was decorated with colourful bangles to mark the annual ritual celebration of Karthika Masam on Friday.

The goddess was colourfully decorated with about one crore bangles and the devotees arranged the bangles of various colors and sizes decorated round the Goddess.

This year, devotees from Chirala of Prakasam district offered one crore bangles to the Goddess and the temple staff decorated with them and adorned the deity with the bangles unlike the previous years where the temple authorities used to decorate the goddess by collecting the bangles.
