Visakhapatnam: The district administration and department of tourism have jointly organising a two-day Bheemili Utsav on November 10 and 11. The State government, as part of the tourism promotional activities, is conducting the Bheemili Utsav every year for the past four years. During the event various competitions being conducted involving all walks of the life.
While reviewing the arrangements for the event, sitting MLA of Bheemili and Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that on the first day, boat competitions would be conducted to fishermen, carnival on ‘JanaPada,’ and other culturual activities.
During the first day celebrations, traditional and customised programmes including ‘Jalari Dance’ Thimsa Dance would be performed. “This year, the most popular small screen programmes ‘Dhee’ dance team and ‘Jabardasth’ team will perform various skits,” the minister said.
Beach boxing and musical concert would enthrall the audience, he added. On the second day, noted Kuchipudi dancers would perform the programmes, the minister said.
