Vijayawada: Manam Saitam, a civil society organisation headed by actor Kadambari Kiran has adopted six villages affected by the recent Titli cyclone in Srikakulam.

Bharatpuram, Kandalagudem, Savaraneelapuram, Nayudupalluru, Mallivedu and Sangamrapeta were severely affected in Titli cyclone in the district. The Manam Saitam team has conducted a detailed survey and identified these villages to undertake developmental works.

In a meeting attended by the members of Manam Saitam, Smart Andhra Pradesh Foundation (SAPF), Vijayawada Film Society (VIFISO), and Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) discussed various issues for better planning and implementation of several developmental activities in the Titli-affected villages here on Monday.

CEO of Araku Aroma Coffee (Pvt) Ltd Chaitanya Satti said that they adopted Boduguda village in the limits of Tokur panchayat in Anantagiri mandal as part of the Smart Village Smart Ward programme.

Jampa Krishna Kishore, state president of Jana Vignana Vedika presented a brief on the state-wide advocacy programme ‘Vakta’ which is being conducted in collaboration with Smart Andhra Pradesh Foundation.V Nageswara Rao, ADDO of SAPF, Deepak Korrapati, consultant of SAPF, Pisupati Viswnath of JVV were also present.
