Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said attack on the YSRCP Chief Jaganmohan Reddy seems to be a scene from ‘Athadu’ movie where party leaders have been implementing a typical strategy to get sympathy from the public.

Addressing Dharma Porata Deeksha at Sri Venu Gopala Swamy College grounds here on Tuesday, Somireddy said YSRCP leaders have been enjoying honorarium and allowances as legislators without attending Assembly sessions. He said people have elected them to raise their voice on public issues in the House. But, he said, they had failed to attend the sessions.

Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana alleged that the Central government had failed to implement the AP Reorganisation Act. He also said that youth would have got employment if the NDA government gave nod to Dugarajapatnam port, railway zone, Kadapa steel plant and other projects to the state.

Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan had not opened their mouth against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who betrayed people of Andhra Pradesh, he added. “Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been uniting anti-Modi forces across the country. Alliance of all parties would teach him a lesson in 2019 elections in the country,” said Narayana.

MP Maganti Babu said that Chandrababu has been playing a key role in national politics. Leaders and party cadre have to strive hard for victory of Telugu Desam in 2019 polls, he added. MP Maganti Murali Mohan termed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah as Rahu and Kethu, who have been obstructing development of the country and also the state.

Opposition in the state would not get any sympathy from ‘Kodikathi issue’ from the people, said Murali Mohan. Former Union Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Ministers S Raghava Rao, N Amarnath Reddy and others also spoke.
