West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar has said that henceforth Class X public examinations for all candidates will be held in government schools
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar has said that henceforth Class X public examinations for all candidates will be held in government schools.
He reviewed progress of education with officials here on Thursday.
The Collector directed the officials to make arrangements so that all the exam centres should be accommodated in government schools. The examinations should be convened under CC camera surveillance to avoid mass copying.
He said that the teachers should prepare the students to face examinations on their own without looking at corrupt practices to succeed. They should encourage the students work hard in exam preparation.
The Collector announced that student photo identity should be used in implementation of mid-day meal scheme. All the bill payments should be based on photo identity attendance.
This should be implemented strictly as the scheme is being introduced as pilot project in the district. It was identified that there was huge gap in register strength and actual attendance.
By introducing photo identity, the attendance of students should be recorded without any lapses.
Basing on the photo ID attendance, the officials should make payments for Civil Supplies department and contractors implementing mid-day meal scheme, he added.
